Annual Day

The most eagerly awaited Annual day of S.E. International school was held on 6th December, 2019. This year the theme was Retro to Metro, showcasing, how old Bollywood songs can be used to perform new styles of western dances.The songs were folk, tribal, bollywood etc., but the choreographies were blended with a western dance touch.
The entire show was hosted by Std.X class teacher, Miss Anjal Solanki & Ms.Kriya Shah from Std.IX. After welcoming the audience,the dignitaries of the show, Respected Directors, the Chief Guests,Mr. & Mrs. Bhagwaandas Desai, Honourable Principal Madam inaugurated the annual day function by lighting the lamp. There was a welcoming and introductory speech by the Principal.

After her speech the hosts introduced the theme to the audience apprising them about it.

S.E. International family believes in seeking blessings of God before beginning an important work. Having this in agenda, as every year, this Annual day began with its 1st performance, the Saraswati vandana, by girls from Std.5th to 10th.

The performances ahead went classwise as follows:

Std I
The Std I students preformed on black and white oldest Bollywood songs like Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu,Ye hai Bombay meri jaan, and Eena Meena Deeka. Their tiny steps displayed their cuteness to a great extent.

 

Std II
The Std II students danced on more older songs like Bholi Surat and Ye chand sa roshan chehra, showing very beautiful expressions while performing.

 

 

Std III
The students of Std III gave a magnificent performance on some old colour Bollywood songs.

 

 

Std IV
The Std IV students danced on some new Bollywood songs.Their innocence and joy was well portrayed on the stage.

 

 

Std V
The students of Std V performed western dance on the songs from Bajorao Mastani, with all their enthusiasm and energy.

 

 

Std VI
The girls of this class performed a tribal dance Bihu from Assam, with all their grace to the calm and melidious music of tribal style.
The boys of VI Std performed a Bhangda on the western music, showing their coordination at its best.

 

 

Std VII
The Std VII dance was a Japanese dance with their props,like hand fan for girls and a spear for the boys,who showed their chemistry while performing on a Bollywood song.

 

 

Std VIII
The VIII Std dance was hip-hop style on a famous Bollywood song, on which the students performed very beautifully.

 

 

Std IX
Students of std IX performed semi-classical dance on the song- Despacito and Salsa dance on the song Ghoomar.

 

 

Std X
The students of Std.X performed Michael Jackson dance style, on old and new Bollywood songs. Their synchronization was wonderful, making justice to the MJ style.

 

 

The Annual day thus ended with a vote of thanks.

 

Science Exhibition

R West, ward level science exhibition was held from 12 to 14 December in Bima Nagar school, Borivali (W). Std 9 th students from S. E. International school made a project of ‘ Smart Roads’ under the guidance of science teachers.

 

The objective of the project was to save water and consume it economically.
Smart roads or water soaking roads absorb upto 880 gallons of water in a minute. So it prevents flash flooding and the ground water can be used for various purposes in day to day life.

 

Merry Christmas

Christmas is celebrated all over the world on 25th December as the day, when Jesus Christ was born.

 

 

It also symbolizes a very deep significant truth of spiritual life. The students of primary section had participated in a skit, showing the story of birth of Jesus Christ. The tableau, thus set up was well executed by the students. The students sang Christmas Carols ‘ joy to the world’ and ended the skit, singing ‘we wish you a Merry Christmas’.
